The cost of litigation extends far beyond the financial cost. This is especially true when the participants have a personal relationship with each other, such as family members, neighbors and business partners. Mediation offers an alternative way to resolve your differences while keeping control over the process and the outcome. A mediator is a trained, neutral third party who assists the parties to a dispute in crafting a resolution that is acceptable to both sides. Not only is it quicker and less expensive than litigation, but mediated agreements are more likely to be adhered to by the parties than ones imposed on them by the courts.<\/p>

Durr Mediation Services offers mediation in the area of family law, including custody\/visitation issues, child and spousal support, and division of assets. We work with families divided over the care of a loved one or with disputes after a parent dies. Susan has been a practicing attorney since 1983, completed her mediation training in 1999, and has been mediating agreements for over 20 years. She has worked extensively with families, both in her law practice and as a mediator. Susan often receives referrals from attorneys and the court for parties involved in contested litigation. She also enjoys working with those who want to start with mediation to avoid litigation in the first place.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Andrew got his start as a volunteer mediator with Akron Municipal Court. He completed his mediation training\u00a0<\/span>through the Ohio Supreme Court in January of 2017 in general mediation, as well as specialized \u00a0family and divorce \u00a0mediation. \u00a0Andrew is on the referral list of mediators for Summit County Domestic Relations Court.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Andrew received his B.A. in Psychology in 2012 and is a co-founder and partner in Evolve Services where he works with clients who are struggling with memory, attention, reading, and other cognitive skills.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
